The Oracle’s Threshold is a six-month elemental journey co-held by artist, mystic, and Oracle of Initiation creator Mellissae Lucia and astrologer and tarot reader, Kasia of Tarot Map. Drawing from over two decades of combined dedicated Oracle work, embodied rituals, and a new framework of elemental initiatory phases for this course, this journey offers you the tools to self-initiate — not in isolation, but within the living web of wisdom that holds us all.

Who This Journey Is For
This journey is for the deeply intuitive, the genuinely creative, the wonderfully unorthodox. For those carrying the specific grief of having been too much and not enough simultaneously — too sensitive, too intense, too vividly alive for the mainstream world, and yet somehow still not trusting themselves enough to fully claim what they know. What touches that particular exhaustion is not more content or another course. It is initiation. Real, embodied, ritualistic transformation and sacred elemental play.

The Six Elemental Phases
Phase One · Earth — Bury · Descent · Composting · The Fertile Dark
What must be laid to rest before anything new can grow? Burial is not death — it is sacred placement. This phase honors what is ending, what is decomposing, and what is being returned to the earth of the self. We learn to grieve, to release, and to trust the underground process. Oracle practice: working with the thresholds of the underworld. Ritual art: creating a literal and metaphoric buried intention of what you are ready to release.
Phase Two · Stone & Bone — Break · Rupture · Threshold · The Crack of Light
Breaking open is not breaking down. This phase meets the rupture — the places where old forms can no longer hold. We work with paradox, with trickster energy, and with the fierce intelligence of what has to be shattered for new life to grow. The Oracle becomes our council in the rubble. Oracle practice: reading the fracture lines. Ritual art: collage, deconstruction, threshold mapping.
Phase Three · Fire — Burn · Purification · Transformation · Creative Fire
Fire destroys what cannot survive and illuminates what cannot be denied. This is the phase of radical honesty, creative intensity, and purification. We work with the fire guardians of the Oracle — Pele, Sekhmet, Kali — and use the heat of transformation as fuel for radiant art and sovereignty. Journey: fire guardian councils. Ritual art: burning ceremony, incendiary mark-making.
Phase Four · Ice & Stillness — Freeze · Suspension · Crystallization · The Sacred Pause
Not all stillness is stagnation. The freeze phase is the liminal space — the winter between one life and the next. We learn to inhabit the pregnant pause, to let things crystallize without forcing them, and to access the deep oracle wisdom that only comes in quiet. This is the phase modern culture most fears and most needs. Oracle practice: cohesive container reading. Ritual art: ice, water, and crystal practices.
Phase Five · Water — Float · Surrender · Flow · Trust in the Current
After burial, breaking, burning, and freezing — the body learns to float. This phase is the art of surrender without dissolution, of trusting the current without losing yourself to it. We work with water guardians — Yemaya, Oshun, Oya — and practice the radical act of being carried by something larger. Oracle practice: intuitive flow readings. Ritual art: Vision Vessel water ceremony.
Phase Six · Living Green — Flourish · Emergence · Sovereignty · The Initiated Self
Flourishing is not a destination — it is a practice of tending what has survived the initiatory fire, flood, and freeze. This final phase integrates the journey, activates your sovereign creative identity, and designs your ongoing self-initiation practice. You leave not finished, but deeply rooted. Oracle practice: claiming your Oracle identity and designing your personal initiatory map. Ritual art: devotional declarations to your emerging self.

Throughout this journey, participants work with the Oracle of Initiation — a 68-card deck born from over 70,000 ritual photographs taken in the underground graffiti tunnels of New Mexico. It is a multidimensional initiatory map — organized through Eight Realms and Gateways — that helps you recognize exactly where you are in any cycle of transformation. When you can name the realm you’re in, everything shifts. The confusion lifts. The path becomes navigable.

Mellissae Lucia · Earthenbody Artist · Oracle Creator · Initiating Women Back Into Themselves
Mellissae did not study initiation from a distance. After the death of her husband, she undertook a seven-year grief-fueled pilgrimage into her own intuitive authority — descending alone into underground tunnels, creating 70,000 ritual photographs, following pivotal dreams across the desert Southwest — and emerged with the Oracle of Initiation: called a masterpiece by Benebell Wen and voted a top-50 essential deck by Tarot Professionals Association.
She works with deeply intuitive, creative, sensitive people who were given the wrong instructions — people who feel everything, perceive everything, and have learned to distrust exactly that. They arrive fragmented, seeking permission from everywhere except themselves. They leave with creative sovereignty and an internal authority that doesn’t depend on external validation.

Kasia of Tarot Map · Astrologer · Tarot Reader · Sacred Pilgrim and Animist
Kasia has been walking toward mystery her entire life.
Raised Catholic in communist Poland, she made her first pilgrimage to the Black Madonna of Częstochowa at fifteen, walking 362 kilometers across Poland. What began as a religious devotion became a lifelong calling. Though she eventually left the Church, she has never stopped walking.
For decades, Kasia has followed the ancient pilgrim’s question: How do we enter into relationship with the sacred? Her search has led her through astrology, tarot, earth-based spirituality, vibrational medicine and the living traditions of animism, where rivers, stones, animals, plants and stars are recognized not as objects but as presences.
Kasia is the founder of Tarot Map and guide of The Oracle’s Threshold. Her work weaves divination, pilgrimage, and deep listening to the more-than-human world. Drawing on years of astrological practice, tarot study, devotional ritual, and embodied spiritual exploration, she helps others cultivate a direct relationship with mystery and discover their place within the greater cycles of life.
She brings the precision of astrological timing and knows where you are in the larger cosmic cycle — and how to use that knowledge to navigate with intelligence and grace. At the heart of her teaching is a simple conviction: the world is alive, meaning is everywhere, and every threshold we cross has something to teach us.

Do I need the Oracle of Initiation deck to participate?
Yes. The Oracle of Initiation is the central navigational tool for this entire journey — we will work with it every month in depth. US participants can order directly from Mellissae; international participants receive a 20% Etsy discount code upon registration. Order early so your deck arrives before July 5th.
Will I need any materials or supplies?
Yes — and that’s part of the adventure. Each elemental phase includes interactive ritual experiences and creative art practices that may call for simple materials: things you might find in nature, around your home, or at a local craft or art supply store. We will always let you know in advance what each phase invites so you have time to gather what you need. Nothing elaborate is required — what matters most is your willingness to play.
What if I can’t attend a call live?
All calls will be recorded and made available to you. While being present live offers the richest experience, you will have full access to every recording.
Is this journey right for me if I’m new to oracle work?
Yes. The Oracle of Initiation speaks directly to the intuitive body rather than requiring a vast knowledge of symbols or systems. Mellissae and Kasia will guide you into the deck’s architecture wherever you are — seasoned reader or complete beginner.
